Danny Byrd - Hospital :: London, UK (DnB)
Getting into hardcore when he was barely out of short trousers (and too young to gain entry to anywhere playing it), Danny Byrd started spending all his pocket money on 12"s and cheap add-ons for his Atari computer. It was 1993, and Danny firmly believed that jungle would take over the world. Danny Byrd is the man to twist R B flavours into rolling soul music for the drum bass community worlwide. Whether its his own homegrown blues or the occassional rework of a American accapella, Danny has the singular vision to shape the new school of vocal drum bass. He takes as much inspiation from garage, hip-hop and r b, as from jungle and breakbeat. Like De La said,"I think it's time we returned to the Soul". Danny's the man for the job.

On the verge of launching their newly minted Contemporary Imprint, the crew hopes to showcase relative newcomers like Random Movement, Chino, Dstar, Mathematics alongside well known heads like Total Science, Marky, Zero Tolerance, Big Bud and Holdtight.
