Later this summer or in early fall I'd like to take a trip to someplace in the U.S. that I haven't been to yet, preferably someplace to the south or south west. Anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks ;)

        OOOHHHHHH!

My boss recently went to Arizona, did some hiking, golf, stayed in a resort that had a spa......he said it is absolutely beautiful there.

I think he stayed outside of Tuscon and visited the Saguaro nat'l park.

Being from the area, I would suggest New Orleans, if you can stand the summer and fall heat.

New Orleans!?!? Man does it get hot down there! I went through the Army's JRTC (Joint-Rediness Training Center) Excercise at Fort Polk in 2000--I thought I would roast! Since my visit to Louisianna, I have learned NOT to complain about the heat and humidity here...okay, so I still complain about the heat and humidity. So many people tell me I need to pack up and move to Alaska, might not be so bad, but there is that 6 months of daylight thing.....

My advice would always be the Grand Tetons...

after all you can't go wrong visiting a place named after tits...

LOL! I looked at your post, Rob, and started having images of women in metal bras, winged helmets, and the music of Wagner pop into my mind until I noticed it was: "Tetons" and NOT "Teutons".....Yes, I am a strange one.

I had always wanted to go to Germany and went there, so am thinking someplace east of Europe...India or Thailand perhaps...

If you're going to Germany I'd definately suggest Bavaria...

Munich is a great city and going down to the Alps and seeing Neuschwanstein is awesome...

I went over there this past March but didn't visit Bavaria unfortunately. Several people recommended Innsbrook so I may go there someday....is that close to Neuschwanstein?

Well Neuschwanstein is near the border with Austria soooooo...

I'm not sure where in Austria Innsbruck is but it's not that big of a country...

We were in Kaiserslautern and took a weekend and traveled to Munich, spent the day there. We got majorly trashed in the Hofbrauhaus in Munich and then spent the evening in Garmisch at a military resort/hotel there... the next day we drove to Neuschwanstein (aside: driving through the Alps while hungover is not recommended). We had to drive for about 10 minutes in Austria to get there (which we weren't supposed to do because we didn't have passports).
